В книге дается обобщенный анализ изменений, произошедших в экономике стран Латинской Америки в 90-е годы и на рубеже веков. После краткой характеристики предпосылок перехода стран региона к неолиберальным реформам более подробно оцениваются результаты их реализации на протяжении десятилетия. Особое место отведено изменению роли государства в экономике, либерализации внешнеэкономических отношений и новым условиям функционирования рынков капитала в регионе. Авторы впервые подробно рассматривают последствия воздействия неолиберальных преобразований на развитие реального сектора эко-номики и социальной сферы, акцентируя внимание на проблемах внутренних инвестиций, стратегии латиноамериканских предприятий в условиях формирования корпоративно-сетевых структур, технологической модернизации и изменений на рынке труда. В заключительной части работы сопоставляются возможные варианты изменения стратегии развития латиноамериканских стран в условиях перехода ко «второму поколению» реформ.

The book provides a generalized analysis of the changes in the economies of Latin America in the 90s and the turn of the century. After a brief description of the prerequisites of transition of the countries of the region to the neoliberal reforms in more detail evaluates the results of implementing them for decades. A special place is given to the changing role of the state in the economy, liberalization of foreign economic relations and new conditions of functioning of capital markets in the region. The authors first consider in detail the effects of neoliberal reforms on the development of the real sector of the economy and the social sphere, focusing on the internal problems of the investment strategies of Latin American enterprises in the conditions of formation of corporate network structures, technological upgrading and changes in the labour market. In the final part compares possible options for changes to the development strategy of Latin American countries in the transition to the "second generation" reforms.
